My full name is Max William Clairo

I'm Canadian. I'm also French! But I am not French-Canadian.
I'm from Calgary, AB, but I've lived in Paris, Vancouver, B.C., Copenhagen, and for the last decade, Seattle.

I'm an architect, interior designer, cook, composer, cinéphile, mystic, meditator, husband and more recently: father. I like to make things that challenge our conventions of the world as it 'seems to be'. I have a vision for almost everything that involves living together, beautifully.

I'm a self-motivated learner, with a perfectionist spirit. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bellevue College with a Bachelor's of the Arts in Interior Design in 2018, and with my Master's of Architecture from The University of Washington in 2023. During which time I received a three-month Scholarship through the Valle Foundation, and the Royal Danish Academy to study 'Modern Sacred Spaces: Nordic Architecture and the Essence of Light'  in 2022.

I've worked in architecture and design offices in Seattle on a variety of high-end residential and commercial projects, generally as a designer pertaining to the visual and presentation needs of the firm. I like working between teams, and use my skills as a communicator to help realize design goals big and small. In the background I have a wealth of personal projects and contracts I'm working on: from a 750sqft island cottage, to a conceptual album for grief.

I'm a dreamer - romantic and inspired. I believe the magic is real. My goal is to help others re-mind themselves of the potential around them through the application of design with a vision.
